INDOOR TOURNAMENT FORMAT

16 Team Tournament
– 4 Pools of 4 Teams
– Round Robin format within each pool (3 games for each team)
– Crossovers between pools A and B and between pools C and D (example: 1st Place in Pool A plays 1st Place in Pool B, 2nd Place plays 2nd Place and so on)
– Championship Final between the winners of the two 1st vs 1st games

12 Team Tournament
3 Pools of 4 Teams
Round Robin format within each pool (3 games for each team)
After Pool Play is complete, teams are ranked 1 thru 12 as follows:
Each group of three like pool finishers (ex. the three 1st Place pool winners) are compared and ranked according to the tournament placement criteria (see below) and given an overall rank (ex. 1st place teams will be overall 1, 2 and 3 ranked, 2nd place teams 3,4 and 5, and so on)
Placement games are then played, with #1 vs #2, #3 vs #4, #5 vs #6 and so on to determine final 1 thru 12 ranking.

Ranking Criteria
Teams are ranked and ties are broken according to the following criteria, in order:

Points (win=3 points, tie=1 point each, loss=0 points)
Goal Difference
Goals For
Head to Head

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

INDOOR: Indoor Stick, shinguards, mouthguards, indoor shoes (no cleats or black soles), and goalkeeper equipment as approved by the FIH and USA Field Hockey.

OUTDOOR: Shinguards, mouthguards, turf shoes and goalkeeper equipment as approved by the FIH and USA Field Hockey.

Teams must have dark and light colored jerseys

INDOOR: $395 per team, includes umpire fees.

OUTDOOR: $395 per team, includes umpire fees.

Full payment is required to secure your place in each tournament.
